Glory.

Champions league matches over the past 2 days, it had been good football played by respective clubs. Once again, the english clubs dominated. Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal made it 4 out of 8 of the remaining 8 clubs to fight for the glory of becoming the european champions of 2009.

Sir Alex Ferguson VS Jose Mourinho.
Manchester united drew 0-0 with Inter milan in the first leg at san siro. But come old trafford manchester united defeated inter with a 2-0 scoreline with headed goals from solid defender Nemanja Vidic and Cristiano Ronaldo to make it into the quatar finals. Will Manchester united stroll on to retain the champions status? Come may and we'll see.

Rafael Benitez VS Juando Ramos.
What a breathtaking performance by liverpool, Benitez proves yet again to be a real masterclass in playing tactics in europe. Crumbling in the EPL, the champions league medal is just what benitez might need to prevent him from being axed. 4-0 in the favour of liverpool over Real Madrid(wth). Steven gerrard and Fernando Torres without doubt acting as the catalyst over the thumping win.

Guus hiddink VS Claudio Ranieri.
Chelsea VS Juventus, a fairly even match. 1-0 to chelsea in the first leg, 2-2 in the second leg,
2-3 on aggregate to chelsea. Chelsea are playing better football now under Guus Hiddink compared to Scolari, and with the resurgence of the beast Didier Drogba, the frontline of chelsea looks more promising with the partnership with the sulk Nicholas Anelka.

Arsene Wenger VS (No idea).
Arsenal VS Roma. Who can forget the routing of Roma by 7-1 by no other then Manchester untited. But this match was a close affair, 1-0 arsenal in the first leg, 1-0 to roma in second leg, arsenal won 7-6 in penalties shoot out. Arsenal squad are fairly youngsters which wenger sticks to his phliosophy of nuturing young talents. Since the departure of the likes of henry, viera, robert pires etc etc, arsenal had fallen behind to liverpool chelsea and manchester in the EPL. Still, Arsenal's attacking football are still a joy to watch.

The question remains, who will triumph in the conquest for glory?
